IMAGISM is a trend in Russian poetry, suddenly tired of the tyranny of plots and meanings. They all turned out to be a bourgeois relic—too dead to take with us into the immortal future. The main thing in imagism is the image, its bizarre transfusion from itself to itself, the connection of the disconnected, hooliganism, scandal.
