Introduction
I’m Stepan Musatov, an illustrator and animator. I work in digital programms, where I make my artworks. I make them for different reasons, mostly for studying, but also make ones as hobby, to get new drawing skills, improve my creativity and make new ideas.
Who did I make this portfolio for?
Since digital art is a very popular trend in our society, I decided to lean to adult audience. So, it mostly includes people of 25 — 40 years old.
What programs do I use?
Mostly, I use Clip Studio Paint as main art program. It’s tools are very comfortable to use in working and this program has a broad collection of many different materials, which helps to make my work more detailed.
My goal
The main thing I want to achieve using my portfolio is to make an certain amount of animation works. The reason of that is the need of showing my experience in drawing. Also it will show that animation can take various, even extraordinary forms.

Bizzare animation methods
it shows types of animation that can be seen as unusual. For example, they can show the entire story through one short plot or demostrate the climax of the video with the help of a figure’s movement.

Fear of the dark
This feature of animation is a short film. It tells a story of a young boy who wanted to have a midnight snack. But he had one problem that bothered him in his deed — a fear of the dark. The project is made in 2d animation in digital program Clip Studio Paint.

Animation technics
This project shows two different techniques of animation. First one is fixed on an position changing, while other one is demostrating a mutual relation between the animation and the music.

Among the animals
A short film featuring the school troubles in the perspective of a teenage boy. I made it in 2d style animation. I made this project to show how important the understanding of bullying among young people (especially children), since it can have a very dangerous affect of both victim and persecutor.
