Hi, I’m Anya — an illustrator, character designer, and multidisciplinary artist based in Moscow.

I build whimsical, narrative-driven visual worlds where digital illustration meets tactile storytelling. My creative practice spans across character animation, publishing, surface pattern design, and hand-sculpted ceramics. Whether I’m developing recurring cartoon universes for digital platforms, designing cozy editorial scenes, or translating my illustrations into everyday physical objects, my goal is to infuse warmth, humor, and organic personality into everything I create.
Animation & Character Universe
The Challenge: To build a recognizable, scalable character brand that translates humor and everyday situations into short-form media.

The Gnome Universe: Animated Series & Social Media Design
A playful, character-driven animation project centered around a recurring cast of quirky gnomes. Blending short-form motion design with narrative humor, this ongoing series explores everyday situations through expressive character animation, establishing a recognizable visual identity and an engaged community across digital platforms.

Illustration & Visual Style

In my illustration practice, I gravitate toward flat, visually compelling graphics that prioritize expressive shape and narrative mood. I love experimenting with unusual, non-standard color palettes to create a distinct atmosphere in every piece. My creative process is built on strong stylization and hyper-exaggerated forms, constantly searching for bold composition choices that make the artwork look dynamic, expressive, and unique.
Project Highlight: Odni Doma
This approach is fully reflected in my series Odni Doma, where intimate domestic storytelling meets nuanced color harmony and detailed spatial composition. It explores quiet everyday moments through rich visual textures and atmospheric lighting.

Where Did Olivka Go?
The Approach: Translating narrative rhythm and character silhouettes into an engaging picture book layout for young readers.

Product Visualization

A vibrant, character-focused project exploring how digital illustration seamlessly transitions into functional product design and interior textiles. This series features adapted graphics for lifestyle merchandise, including custom mugs, ceramics, and home textiles such as printed bed linen. By combining seamless repeating patterns with playful motifs, the project bridges the gap between digital artwork and tactile everyday living.
