objects, 2016
The project «on/off» conceived as a series of non-obvious objects in urban environment. On the one hand, the city overloaded with lots of information flows, and there is a feeling that the city is a global scene of hyper-play where to be heard, you need to «shout» louder. This saturation of the urban environment offers many opportunities for concealment, shelter and mimicry. Paranoid idea about self-representation by all means, as totalitarian as it is the opposite of what it could be directed to.
Objects-inscriptions itself are bundles of wire, tape, adhesive tape, technical pieces of debris found, etc. They are like growth on the body of the city and its integral part. Objects are placed in various places in the city, adjacent to the other wires and other technical or construction' «imperfections» and completely dissolve in space. However, when incorporated in the place of lighting — an object begins to cast a shadow, which on closer and attention view can be read as a sign.
