Designer Lena Solovyeva has presented her new multifunctional objects from the OBJECTS/MODULES series, crafted from stainless steel. This project explores the techical possibilities of handcrafted work and the processes that enable materials to reveal themselves in unexpected ways. Metal serves as a metaphor for synthesis, where the alloy comes into contact with human metaphysics. The cold steel seems to come to life, revealing its vital qualities through the expressive textures of the objects. «In my work, I intentionally collide two approaches — polishing and „drawing“ on metal. On the one hand, they are conflicting, on the other, they are interconnected. Combining these techniques highlights their differences and perfection» — the designer notes.
