The first piece in the «Province» collection is the «KRUG Cabinet»

In this collection, I delve into the theme of reconnecting with my roots, searching for my earliest memories. My life has been a constant race for achievement—whether in studies, work, or hobbies, I’ve turned everything into a competition. I’m never satisfied with what I’ve accomplished; at the end of any task, I’ve always told myself, «I could have done better.» The only time I paused and looked around was during summers spent with my grandparents, who were both artists.

To some, this cabinet might evoke the legendary designs of Dieter Rams, but for me, it’s my grandfather’s beloved «Zhiguli» 2102.

It was a bright orange car, with wooden seat massagers and a roof rack. We often took it on fishing trips, to plein air painting sessions with my grandfather’s students, and even slept in it. We were always fixing it in the garage. Once, it even caught fire when an afternoon sunbeam found its way through the back window and was focused by a water bottle lying in the pocket behind the front seat.

This cabinet is also reminiscent of the Yantar TV stand, where we spent many evenings together, watching football and Formula 1.

The LUB brand focuses on traditional craftsmanship and entirely avoids using metal factory-made components such as channels and slides. We replace factory hardware with brass and wood, embracing woodworking in its historical sense.

The cabinet is made entirely of solid maple. Its warm, light tone and calm texture highlight the delicate craftsmanship of the artisan.

The cabinet is designed to accommodate the dimensions of modern audio and gaming equipment, while the sliding ventilated fronts ensure easy access to it.

Target audience for the LUB brand: Individuals aged 30-45+ with children, who are furnishing their homes with care, valuing quality, functionality, and handcrafted items, and are focused on creating their own family traditions.

The piece is made to order and can be customized to individual dimensions. The price of the cabinet is 295,600 RUB.

The «KRUG» cabinet was developed as part of the first collection by the LUB brand during my studies in Petr Safiullin’s laboratory.
