A digital catalog of Alexander Shaburov, a renowned Russian artist born in the Urals. Discovering that becoming a «great artist» was impossible in the provinces, he decided to document the only unique thing he had—the life of a «little man.» His work is based on everyday rituals: the walk from home to the bus stop, dental work, and even his own funeral. After moving to Moscow in 1999, he founded the art group «Blue Noses» with Vyacheslav Mizin. This publication features art projects, books, and reproductions of Alexander Shaburov’s most striking works. In the interview included, Alexander discusses his creative path, the origins of the art group «Blue Noses», and the state of contemporary art.
