Abstract
Consuming a balanced diet that includes all five food groups is essential for maintaining health and preventing chronic non-communicable diseases. A healthy diet should consist of carbohydrates from whole grains, proteins from both animal and plant sources, a variety of vegetables and fruits, and milk or dairy products, providing energy, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. Eating all five food groups supports muscle and bone development, strengthens the immune system, and reduces the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. Using healthy cooking methods such as steaming, boiling, grilling, or baking and staying adequately hydrated helps maintain energy balance and metabolic health. Consistently practicing a balanced five-group diet promotes physical strength, prevents disease, and enhances overall quality of life.
