The MERCATOR PROJECTION is both a very convenient way for navigation to depict the Earth, and (perhaps) a conspiratorial attempt by the Flemish of the XVI century to convince the whole world that Greenland is really the size of Africa, and Antarctica is an endless ice wall at the edge of the world.
