даже когда человек находится совсем близко, между нами остаётся тонкая пелена — света, воздуха, времени. в этом промежутке рождается особое состояние: отстранённость, как будто фигура в кадре принадлежит не миру, а воспоминанию о нём
исторические снимки, собранные здесь, напоминают о том, что человек давно научился жить в тени — в дыму городов, в мягком рассеянном свете, за сетками, масками, отражениями. тело становится силуэтом, жест — намёком, а взгляд растворяется в зерне плёнки. фотография превращает живое присутствие в тихий след, оставленный на поверхности света
современные изображения продолжают этот разговор, но говорят другим языком. они предлагают новую плоть для старой идеи: человек всё так же рядом и всё так же где-то вне досягаемости. его лицо скрыто, контуры искажены, пространство чуть сильнее, чем он сам
это исследование — о тех, кто присутствует словно призрак; о жестах, которые не стремятся быть прочитанными; о фигурах, которым комфортно в лёгкой размытости. это размышление о том, что отстранённость — не только уход, но и форма существования, способ говорить о себе не словами, а тенью, светом, поверхностью
что именно создает это ощущение отчужденности?
