A team sport played with a ball. Each team consists of 6 field players and a goalkeeper. The goal is to score as many shots as possible into the opponent's goal. The game consists of two 30-minute halves. Modern handball is played indoors on a rectangular court measuring 40 x 20 meters. The goals are surrounded by a 6-meter zone, which only the goalkeeper is allowed to enter. Goals are scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or "flying" over it without touching the floor.
