The panel «Nexus» consists of 65,000 hand-rolled porcelain elements. The work pays special attention to the bond between mother and child—the most fundamental and profound of all connections. Valeria experiences her personal journey of motherhood through this work. The complex sculptural knots, intertwining, and the curves of the relief in the panel embody an inseparable union. The delicate shades of the finest porcelain petals, combined with the monumentality of forms, characterize both fragility and vulnerability on one side, and incredible strength on the other.
