The poster lab at the ICU School of Design is re-thinking classic movies and creating posters that these films could have today. The participants talk about the visual language and the idea of film fiction, try to see the reception where the director built the painting.

In every movie, no matter whether it’s game or documentary, there’s an idea and a frame system. How’s the movie line up? What’s his concept? How does the image compose? These are questions that need to be answered during viewing to create a quality and interesting poster.

Lab students learned to watch movies professionally, from a designer’s point of view. The poster lab created several exhibitions at the Pioner cinema, and took part in the Mirror Film Festivals and the Beat Film Festival.
