Multifunctional bench «ULITKA». The author of the project: Svetlana Yurievna Muziko. The concept of the SNAIL project is to create functional outdoor furniture that will be attractive and convenient for use by parents and children over 5 years old on playgrounds, as well as athletes and visitors to sports grounds. The aim of the project is to create outdoor furniture items that would fit perfectly into the environment and not conflict with the equipment of children’s and sports grounds. For this purpose, the image of the pipe was used as the main shaping element. The pipe is an integral component of children’s and sports equipment, which makes the item versatile and functional.
Target audience: children, parents and chaperones at playgrounds; athletes and visitors to sports grounds. A street bench from the ULITKA collection covers the basic needs of consumers.

Item functionality: The item includes a seating area for one person; a storage space (two hooks); a table and lighting.
Materials used in the project: hot rolled pipe st3 with a diameter of 325×8 mm, color: RAL 7035; metal tap st3, bending radius 90 degrees, pipe diameter 325×8 mm, color: RAL 7035; metal plates made of steel 09g2c 8 mm, color: RAL 7035; metal rod 100×50×50, color: RAL 1023; lampshade (NTU 01-100-351), diameter 350 mm, color: milky; channel U 24 «ROBMETALLSTAL», color: gray; MDF 20 mm; FLEX+, color: RAL 1023; metal arc, flat, 30×2 mm, color: RAL 7035.
The base of the metal structure is made by INDUSTRIART. The company performed such works as: welding of metal structures, stripping of structures, grinding, sandblasting of metal, galvanizing and further painting with powder paint. The seat was made by SIXINCH. Manufacturing technology: a set of seat weights using 10 mm MDF gluing, grinding and coating of FlexPlus material with FoamCoating technology (spraying of the material) FlexPlus. FlexPlus is a soft and elastic coating, resistant to dirt and not afraid of ultraviolet rays. It has vandal-proof properties and withstands any loads, except for targeted cutting action.
The weight of the product is ~100-150 kg. Overall dimensions of the product: Length: 1420 mm; Width: 1450 mm; Width: 815 mm. The year of creation of the product is 2024. The product is made in a single copy. The price of the product is ~ 170 tr.
The multifunctional bench «SNAIL» was implemented in collaboration with the development company MR GROUP in 2024, as a bachelor’s degree project at the Department of Furniture Design at the Stroganov Russian State Pedagogical University.
