«FINCHER. An adjective of perfection» is a collection of clippings of the scripts (key episodes) of the film, articles about films and emotional amateur reviews, and an interviewer, which is compiled into a detailed portrait of an extraordinary American filmmaker whose leitmotivism is full of all his art.

The preamble / introductory feature: «Engine’s Portrait» is an introductory text that gives a general view of Fincher as an individual and director, setting the tone of the book.
Each section of the book combines one or more of Fincher’s paintings around a common theme or motive that goes through these films: «Individual security» — «The alien 3,» «The room of fear»: united by the theme of isolation, threats and control of space. «The Artificial Reality» is «The Game», «The Fight Club»: films on psychological manipulation, illusion and loss of identity. Crime scene: Seven, Zodiac: Criminal dramas focusing on crime, investigation, morality. Personality and the Individual: Benjamin Button, Social Network: Research into human identity, time and ambition. «Death and Lovers» is «The Girl With the Dragon’s tattoo», «The Disappeared»: films that combine erotics, death, and intense relationships.
The conclusion of the personal head and the interview, «Pretty daddy’s cinema», is a mansion, as an autobiographically coloured project, perhaps a more personal and «non-fincher» stylistic project. The interview with the team is the final block of the book, which includes interviews with Fincher’s key associates: operators, installers, actors. They give a technical and behind-the-scenes look at the style of the director.
