Author Elena Nosova.
Idea.
Once, leafing through a scientific magazine, I came across an article about mussels (media, in Russian) and their impact on the ecology of the Planet. They filter water particles from dirt and microplastics, cleansing the ocean. At the same time, due to the high level of water pollution, they lose the ability to survive, reproduce and are under the threat of extinction. So I thought to myself, 'We should all think about preserving our home planet' and chose the shape of the sofa to draw people’s attention to the problems of the ocean. Inside the sofa, like a clam in a shell, hides a cozy cushion — an important feature inspired by the wondrous anatomy of mussels.
