Circular design: Martin tables
Eco-friendly material and minimalist aesthetics: new tables made from recycled plastic
Martin tables are available in white and black. Both models are made from recycled plastic that can be reused later. The main source of inspiration was the material itself, which cannot be glued together. I wanted to design furniture that was constructed without the use of unnecessary elements.
The search for a solution led to the appearance of surfaces that slide into one another, thanks to special dovetail cuts. Hence their name — Martin (swallow). Each model uses two auxiliary tongues, the purpose of which is to provide greater stability and strengthen the structure.
The strict silhouette of the tables is enlivened by smoothly rounded corners of the base, made in the concept of soft minimalism. The expressive texture of terrazzo, which is achieved through a special plastic melting technology, adds expression to the design. Unlike ordinary plastic, the surface of the tables is tactile and velvety pleasant.
The tables can be used both for residential interiors and for wet rooms or outdoors, since the plastic is not afraid of frost and rain.
