Honeysuckle — typographic lamp created on a 3D printer

Illumination of the Honeysuckle Silhouette. The idea to make a lamp came in early spring, when the body lacks light and vitamins. Thus, attention was drawn to the rare word «honeysuckle», which hides a vivid image of a blossoming flower and the first garden berry.
Modular System. This lamp is created in the graphic language of Victoria Nurislamova. In the modular system called «Structura» there is a limited variety of elements, which, joining together, build up signs and letters.
Language Constructions. The basis of this lamp is literally formed by the phrase «flowers and berries». These words, constructed by modules in a circular composition, set the features of its shape. If you look at the lamp from above, you can read the silhouettes of these words.
Eco Production. This object is printed on a 3D printer using FDM technology. PLA plastic is manufactured out of a Plant-based material (corn in our case). Such plastic decomposes in the ground into organic matter (not microplastic) within 10 years. PLA plastic is strong and has almost no shrinkage when it cools. This helps maintain geometry and print very complex shapes without scrap or cracks. 3D printing technology allows us to print the lamp on demand — thus avoiding overproduction.
