The interior was designed for a psychologist who views her home as a deeply personal space for work and relaxation. The main goal was to create a versatile living environment.
The theme of the project was inspired by the idea of «Back to the Roots», focusing on African culture and traditional huts made from twigs, leaves, mats and animal skins. The floorboards evoke a primal feeling when walked on barefoot, reminiscent of an earthen floor. The walls and ceiling, finished with the same decorative plaster, create a sense of spatial integrity.
In addition to the basic dark tone, the project uses colors reminiscent of African soil. These hues are reflected in individual items in the living room, such as the «carved» bench and textured artwork in the kitchen, and the upholstered sofa in the lounge area. Art objects and vintage furniture add variety to the slightly ascetic design.
