The international student HSE CREATIVE OPEN online competition on the basis of HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL
The goal of the competition is to gather original ideas and spectacular projects in all areas of design, contemporary art and fashion on one platform and to gain the attention of the creative community to the development of jobs in the industry.
Students from any university, regardless of the location they are based at, can participate in the competition.
About the nomination
We live in the age when everyday we are more and more surrounded with different kinds of information, and infographics as one of the ways to convey this information in a more understandable, convenient form is a very natural phenomenon.
As well as motion design, that reflects the mobility and flexibility of modern life. It is no surprise that the format of an informational explainer video, when these two phenomena are combined, is in high demand — in educational, entertainment and commercial spheres.
Nomination partners
SXEMA is a studio that creates 3D/VFX/AR/AI projects in the field of design development and content creation.
Animation studio Svetly Story is a creative association of directors, artists and producers who have come together to create animated films, advertising and other creative projects for fun.
Pragmatica is a design studio specializing in working with corporations and digital products.
Motion designers team Clan is a Moscow-based design team. They create projects for brands and media, inspired by the aesthetics of dystopia and hyperreality.
Terms and requirements
We are excited to see any videos in which a story about a real phenomenon is told, a principle is explained or data is clearly shown or compared using editing, animation and sound. Both individual videos and group projects are accepted.
To participate in the competition, be sure to read the methodological recommendations for the nomination.

September 30 — start date to upload projects on the platform May 12 — project submission deadline May 24 — presenting voting results

Vasily Shikhachevsky is a curator of the Motion Design specialization in the Animation and Illustration program at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL, a motion designer and a digital artist
Alexey Ryumin is a lecturer in the Animation and Illustration program at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL, an artist and a multimedia designer
Ekaterina Umnova is a curator of the Media and Design program at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL, a media an artist, a designer, a curator of multimedia exhibitions
Anna Sarukhanova is a coordinator of the Animation and Illustration basic course at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL, a freelance illustrator who works with social, cultural and advertising projects
Polina Campioni is the head of the Animation specialization in the Animation and Illustration program at HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL. An animation director, a cartoonist, participant in the international animation marathon Fête de l’anim' (Lille, France)
Eva Sviridova is the founder of the sxema CGI studio, ex-Director of the School of Creative Industries
