Hi everyone! Welcome to our lesson today.

Before we start, I’d like to briefly explain what we’re going to do today and why this lesson is important.

Today’s lesson is about reviewing what you already know, practicing speaking, and preparing for your final project — the video presentation.

This is not an exam. You’re not here to be perfect. You’re here to practice, feel more confident, and see your progress.

First, we’ll do a short vocabulary review test. It’s just to help you remember the words you’ve learned during the course.

Время выполнения задания: 15-20 минут Формат выполнения: студенты самостоятельно проходят тест

Цель этого задания — проверить, насколько усвоилась новая лексика по пройденным темам. И постараться запомнить не только то, как произносятся слова, но и как они пишутся.

Alright, let’s put the test away for a moment and start speaking again.

This next activity is not about checking answers — it’s about activating the words you already know.

Please work in pairs.

Each of you: ◦choose five words from the vocabulary test ◦explain these words to your partner in your own words ◦use at least one word in a sentence about your work or projects

You don’t need perfect definitions. Simple explanations are absolutely fine.

Now let’s talk about your final project. You will create a video presentation in English that will be three to five minutes long. This video is your chance to show how confidently you can speak English, how clearly you can explain your ideas, and how you can talk about your work as a designer. Remember, this is not about perfect grammar. The most important thing is to have a clear structure and speak confidently.

You can record the video on your phone or laptop, with a simple background. You may use notes to help you, but try not to read a full script. Speak naturally, as if you are explaining your project to a client or a colleague.

In your video, start with a short introduction. Tell who you are and what kind of designer you are. Then explain the main idea of your project. Describe what the project is about and what kind of problem it solves. Next, talk about the solution — how your project helps or improves something. After that, describe your target audience and why this project is useful for them. Finally, explain the result or the goal you want to achieve, and what you hope will happen in the future.

I want you to think for a moment about which part of this structure feels easy for you and which part feels more difficult or stressful. It’s normal if some parts feel challenging. Today we are here to prepare and practice together, so that by the end of the lesson you will have a clear plan for your video and feel more confident speaking about your project.

Now, let’s start preparing your own final project and practice talking about it.

Now we are going to start preparing your final project. This part of the lesson is all about planning and practicing your video presentation. First, we will do some individual work to organize your ideas, and then you will have a chance to practice speaking with a partner. The goal is to make your presentation clear, structured, and confident, so that you feel ready for recording.

First, take ten minutes to plan your own video presentation. Think about the structure we discussed earlier. You can use the template or the guiding questions to help you. For example, consider: Who are you? What is your project about? What problem does it solve and what is the solution? Who is your target audience? What result or goal do you want to achieve?

Write down short notes or bullet points for each part. Don’t worry about full sentences yet — the important thing is to organize your ideas clearly so that you know what you will say. You can also think about any key vocabulary you want to include from our course.

Now, get into pairs. Each student will take turns presenting their project to their partner, using their notes. Try to speak for about 2–3 minutes. Your partner’s role is to listen carefully and give friendly, supportive feedback. After each presentation, your partner can answer these questions: What was clear? and What was interesting?

After feedback, you can adjust your plan and practice again if there is time. Try to use linking words, gerunds, and simple passive constructions that we practiced in previous lessons. Focus on speaking naturally, not perfectly.

Great work today, everyone! You’ve done a lot — we reviewed the vocabulary, practiced speaking, and planned your final project. I am really impressed with your ideas and how clearly you started presenting them.

Now let’s take a few minutes to reflect. Think about what felt easy for you today and what was more difficult. Which parts of your project presentation were clear, and which parts do you want to practice more?

Thank you all for your hard work and participation throughout the course. You have made great progress, and I’m confident you will do an excellent job with your final projects.
