«3 colors» is a mixture of traditional Russian tableware motives with morphogenesis of early Russian avant garde. The goal of the series is to discover new possibilities for molding shapes and visual language unique to our culture into practical interior ceramics. A set of three pieces from the series is submitted to the exhibition: — A Transforming vase that can be used as a simple vessel for wild and dried flowers or as a candlestick or a stand for smaller interior objects if turned upside down. — A Large and a small Kvazniks — both a combination of traditional kvassnik and vase, that can be used as a single flower vase or a separate piece of decoration.
All pieces in the set are crafted on a potter’s wheel from black stoneware clay and decorated with glazing and porcelain.
