Культу́рная апроприа́ция (англ. cultural appropriation) — социологическая концепция, согласно которой заимствование или использование элементов одной культурычленами другой культуры рассматривается как в значительной степени отрицательное явление. В основе данной концепции лежит утверждение, что культура, подвергающаяся заимствованию, подвергается эксплуатации и угнетению со стороны заимствующей культуры.

Культурная зависимость может использоваться не только, как нечто негативное, но и в качестве обучения и знакомства с культурой. Возможность объединить культуры для лучшей адаптации необходимо для многих людей в наше время
Ради этого и появился этот календарь. Его можно использовать не только людям, которые учат японский язык для себя и хотят увеличить свой словарный запас, но и для тех, кто мечтает и планирует переехать в Японию и лучше познакомиться с культурой
