Longrid, «The Sealing of sirens», is a home where silver-century poets coexist. The whole wall in the hallway is covered with pictures of them, and around it you can see the details we all know that it’s not just a museum space, it’s quite a living and cozy room.

My illustrations are drawn by the combination of noise and smooth shape. With the noise, I wanted to emphasize the shape of each object and bring it to the fore, as the background remained smoother.

The starting point of my Longrid is a wall with portraits of poets, clicking on each of which the reader can learn some general information about them and proceed to reading a poem.

Sherschenevich’s poem «Broken Rhymes» describes how poetry is born from the author’s point of view. In my illustrations, I wanted to literally show it, draw the same dwarf that comes out of the letters and holds a violin and a penknife in his hand.

When working on Vladimir Mayakovsky’s poem, «Warship Love,» I wanted to create the image of living ships, but to do so carefully, let’s say I made a nose out of the mast or out of the lifeline of my eyes.
«By the sea, playing, carrying / carrying a mortar carrier. / Linet, as if to the honey of a donkey, / to the mortar carrier»
In the searchlight episode, I wanted to show him the scream of the light beams, which fly across the space and reflect from the walls of the screen to the mortar carrier.
«Suddenly, with a searchlight on the nose of the goggles, / dived into the back of the mortar. / How the copper hair is coming up: / „R-r-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-thin!“

In my work on Anna Achmatova’s poem, «I’m having fun with you drunk,» I wanted to go into her relationship with Gumila and paint these lines precisely in the context of their communication.
I read that Ahmatova didn’t like her husband’s stories about Africa. Most of the time, they were at poetic nights, and Ahmatova even went to another room to avoid hearing them. I wanted to put it in my Longrid.
