«Skulls and spindles. Joy and hardship» is the first project in a series of paired personal exhibitions of «teachers and students». The first draft of the cycle involves a professor, Vladislav Efimov, and a student, Alexander Zamurouev, a design and modern arts student. The objects Vladislav and Alexandra present in the exhibition bring together reflections on the phenomenon of human labour.
The exhibition is inspired by the process of work, namely, its rhythmic nature. Any manual work is a repetition of the same movements that, with experience, become almost mechanically accurate. Repeated red threads are sent to them. Gray blobs, whose shapes are adjusted to the grid, represent the material from which the painter is making.
