以动物之眼 Through Animal Eyes

在动物园中，我用彩色树胶工艺记录下几双打动我的眼睛——长颈鹿的温柔、大象的沉静、山羊的警觉、羊驼的好奇，还有斑马与犀牛一前一后的默契背影。这些目光与姿态不只是动物个体的自然反应，它们似乎在以各自的方式向我诉说：我们都在同一个世界，隔着不同的眼球，看着同一个生物圈。

人类自诩文明，但在进化的长河中，我们也曾如它们一般赤脚奔跑、仰望星空、凭直觉感知生存的危险与温柔。这些眼睛将我带回几万年前，去触摸我们共同的野性起点。人与动物，并不是彼此凝视，而是彼此映照。谁在看谁？谁更接近本真的自己？我试图通过这些图像，唤起观者对于“人”的边界与动物性的再思考。

In the zoo, I captured these arresting eyes through gum bichromate process — the giraffe’s tenderness, the elephant’s gravitas, the goat’s vigilance, the alpaca’s curiosity, along with the synchronized silhouettes of zebra and rhinoceros. These gazes and postures transcend mere animal instincts; they seem to declare through their unique languages: we share the same biosphere, peering through distinct lenses.

Humans pride ourselves on civilization, yet evolutionarily we too once ran barefoot beneath constellations, sensing survival’s dangers and gentleness through primal intuition. These ocular portals transport me back to our shared wild origins tens of millennia ago. Human and animal do not merely observe each other, but mirror each other. Who truly observes whom? Which gaze holds the essence of being? Through these images, I aim to provoke viewers to reconsider the permeable boundaries between humanity and animality.
